Kyle Rogers (born December 20, 1984 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL.

College

After being passed over by every NHL team in the NHL Entry Draft he attended Niagara University in 2005, posting 2 goals and 2 assists with 12 penalty minutes in his first year with the Purple Eagles, in which he played 28 games. At Niagara, he majored in Criminology & Criminal Justice. In the 2007 Season, his second year with Niagara, he had a decent year, settling down to, in 35 games, score 6 goals with 7 assists as well as having 37 penalty minutes. His 13 points ranked 10th on the team. In his 35 game season, he had 3 multi-point games, including a 2-goal game against no. 16 Quinnipiac, in which the Purple Eages won 5-2.

In his final year at Niagara University, he had his best season, scoring 10 goals and posting 13 assists for 23 points in 34 games. In addition to this he also racked up 40 penalty minutes. In three seasons with the Purple Eagles, Rogers played 97 games and collected 18 goals and 22 assists for 40 points, along with 89 minutes in penalties.

Professional

After completing his Collegiate career in 2007–08, Rogers signed a two-year entry level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 29, 2008.[1] He was then assigned to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.
